Hola!

I look forward to seeing you tonight for the classes on close embrace followed by the Milonga Buenos Aires at DIVINO in Bethesda.

Tonight at Divino, you will have the Introduction to Close Embrace for Beginners.; A 30 min. lesson for those trying to get started in this style and it is only $5. No previous experience necessary. 7:45 to 8:15 pm. For the Intermediate dancers the lesson is generally on a Close Embrace pattern followed by Rhythmic variations like Tango and Waltz, or Tango and Milonga ($15).

The MILONGA BUENOS AIRES, which I (Carina) DJ, starts generally with traditional music with a very rhythmic emphasis to continue with the work of the class. “Cortinas” (music that divides the set of 4 songs per orchestra) are played in this Milonga to differentiate orchestras and styles as well as rhythms (Tango/Waltz/Milonga).

During the night I like to play Tangos from the Golden Age with singers, instrumentals and toward the end of the night, I play more Vanguardia Tangos, which are more elaborated music or Newer Recordings of Traditional Orchestras. There is always a surprise rhythm at a certain moment of the night which is a Tango played by a Non Tango Artist.

The Milonga starts at 9:15 pm and it cost $10 for those arriving at that time and $5 for students taking the class.

DIVINO Restaurant and Lounge has an exquisite ambiance and an Argentine cuisine. Students taking the class get a 10% discount of the total check. Dinner is served until 10 pm, and the menu is available on line.www.DivinoLounge.com.
